A common mistake many make is to focus solely on their own needs. Building your site as one big store front and sales pitch is the natural tendency of many but highly ineffective.

Therefore your job once again is being a source of relevant high quality content. This is how you make both your visitors and the search engines happy. The search engines deliver free traffic to your site. Now everyone is happy.

Well almost… You are not in business unless you are making money. Therefore we end where most people start…Once you have established 1 & 2 you need to establish the third. We have discussed in various other areas of this site exactly how to generate multiple streams of income from your online MLM site. However we must not lose track of the fact that in the end…the ultimate objective…is to build your down-line.

This is where the Yin Yang approach to building your online MLM business comes in. The Yin Yang consists of two equal yet opposite sides. One is white and the other black symbolizing the dualistic nature of the universe. Light and Dark. Good & Evil etc… However in each side exists at its root the other symbolized by a small dot. There is no light unless contrasted with dark. In the same way you want to build your website to accomplish both objectives. Within every page of free content to make your visitors happy you want to insert your message to make you happy. Likewise every page you build to make you happy should be built in such a way that makes your visitors and the search engines happy as well.

The first half of your website needs to be built to provide quality content to its visitors. You are developing a destination site. One that provides answers and solutions. This is extremely important for business reasons. Your business objective is to create a site that the editors in the large business directories will accept into their listings. This is important because search engines rank your site based on the quality of incoming links pointing to your site. The easiest way to get quality links is to get into these directories.

However you are infusing your message into each page as well… not in a sales pitch but in an advisory capacity. In this way you predispose your visitors to your final objective. MLM is good. You are good. This is done subtly within the context of providing service.

You have a message right! A plan to succeed, insight to help people avoid scams that would take them out of your prospect pool, an awesome MLM opportunity etc… This is what you want to write about. For example I spent years in corporate America developing and implementing management level coaching and leadership training. This, I believe, is valuable in MLM as a sponsor and consultant therefore I want to provide this training to my down-line. These pages I want to write.

However I must connect this to the topic of MLM and show how it is of value to a distributor. Although they may not have sat down in front of their computer with the thought “I need to be a better leader” I must connect whatever they were looking for. If I can effectively communicate what’s in it for them I can get individuals outside of my down-line to read on even though the material is actually for my down-lines use. Again I have accomplished both objectives. I wrote the pages for me but with an angle for them.

Once you have established yourself as a destination site, gotten into the directories and are receiving daily traffic to your site it is time to make money. You are going to want to write one pitch after another right! Finally…you can just write what you want! Well not exactly…Why forget everything you learned? If you can write a pitch that is actually a service to your visitors wouldn’t that be better? And…if you could do it in such a way that the search engines literally deliver traffic to it wouldn’t that be fantastic?

Eventually this will all be second nature to you! Obviously building this type of skill-set will take time and practice. However it is not as complicated as you might think. Personally I like to write every page three times. I write it first for my visitors and make sure it delivers thought provoking material. Second I reread it inserting my overall message.

You have to remember that every page could be a person’s first page on your site so they may have no idea what you are talking about without context. Lastly I go through it to make sure my specific keyword appears enough times and in the right places. Then I publish it.
