Making a study of your prospects and clients motivations will assist you to be of better service to them. You cannot hope to guide anyone to success if you do not first understand where they are starting at.
Your ability to succeed by doing more than what everyone else is doing while simultaneously being able to inspire others to do the same will be greatly enhanced by your ability to build rapport and establish trust with your prospects and clients. However it does take time and effort to build a successful MLM business. The work often can be overwhelming and this is where many often fail. They begin to doubt there ability, question the path, get overwhelmed by the amount of work, discouraged by a setback etc… This is where your expertise will come into play.
Learn, Grow & Educate:
To be an effective MLM leader you will want to actively support your down-line every step of the way. Some will use your techniques and find success without ever needing a thing while others will need guidance and reassurance. Effective leadership is effective communication. Be open and honest, provide real feedback and always have the best interest of your down-line in mind.
It is easier to just do it yourself. This is the mantra of the unsuccessful. Your job as a leader is to teach others and build their skill-set to succeed. By taking the time to teach your down-line you are giving them the tools they need to do well. This benefits you as you are compensated based on their success and as your clients are able to recruit and train others you will benefit from as well. Yes this is obvious but my warning here is not to just do for your down-line. The goal is to teach them to do for themselves. It is tempting to do the work yourself and then give it to your down-line to use to recreate your results. It seems like a logical thing to do. Why make them recreate the wheel? If we didn’t recreate the “wheel” we wouldn’t have the auqua-tread “tire” today. My point is…it is the uniqueness of your individual work that draws traffic to your site. Teach your down-line to use your methods but they need to execute on them themselves. You want to see your down-line become MLM leaders as well and hopefully do better than you. That is an accomplishment you can be proud of. Then the Kaizen cycle continues when they share with you their ideas and you begin implementing them and seeing even better results.

Disseminate your experience and knowledge. The awesome news is that the fact that your down-line has begun to form means you are finally starting to see success. Your job will now be to help your down-line see the same success you have. You will guide the individual when needed, coach the client as to where they can improve, help them through each obstacle along the path, motivate them to keep focused, encourage them as they progress and ultimately celebrate with them when they succeed.
